Does a pressure washer need to be used?In some cases a pressure washer will need to be used. If the graffiti is on a non-painted porous surface such as brick, concrete, asphalt, or wood a pressure washer is needed. Our Graffiti Syrup product is applied, allowed to dwell an optimal amount of time and then washed off taking the graffiti with it. We only use hot water pressure washers as it produces the best results.

Can you remove graffiti off of a painted surface?Sometimes yes and sometimes no. It depends on what type of painted surface you're talking about and what type of graffiti product was used (spraypaint, felt, etc...). We can remove graffiti from most factory painted surfaces without damaging the original paint underneath. Graffiti removal products cannot tell the difference between what is suppose to be removed and what is suppose to stay. Because many paints or liquids used to graffiti with are oil based (or have a base stronger than latex paint) they can sometimes liquify the latex paint before the graffiti. We will always try to remove the graffiti but if it begins to remove the paint underneath we will have to match the paint colour of the surface and restore the wall to its original look by painting. Our goal is to make the wall or tagged surface return to its original look before being vandalized.

Are your products safe for the environment? All of our products are biodegradable when diluted with water. Since a pressure washer is required for removing graffiti from porous surfaces, it is always diluted with water. We always make sure to rinse everything on the surface that had graffiti, as well as the surrounding area that it may have been in contact with when washing. Other graffiti removals that don't require a pressure washer are normally wiped up with a scouring pad and rag thus not having any contact with the environment.

What temperatures can you remove graffiti in?The ideal temperatures for removing graffiti are between 5 and 25 degrees Celcius, (41 to 77 degrees Fahrenheit). Many situations will allow you to do great removals outside of these parameters, such as being in the shade in the summer so product doesn't dry as quickly, or doing a removal on a surface that might have a different temperature than the outside temperature (i.e. surface thats been in the sun all day when the weather is at the freezing point outside). Most of our removals can be done throughout the winter months. We might have to wait for a break in the weather to do some painting but most of our other graffiti removals are done 12 months of the year.
